THE APPROACH

There are different ways of being a family photographer and different approaches. My approach is to give you space to be “you”, to play with your children, to be natural but I never stop giving you directions. I will always guide you through the session and only when I feel you know what to do, I will wait, observe and capture the most candid moments.

HOW DESCRBE

HOW WOULD WE DESCRIBE OUR APPROACH TO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY?

Our family photo sessions are enjoyable affairs! Boredom is simply not on the agenda. While there might be a touch of fatigue towards the end, ensuring that your session is infused with liveliness and activity is paramount. This approach guarantees that your photographs exude vitality, capturing your family in the most authentic light possible.

CLEAR AND TRASPARENT

As a family photographer, transparency in my packages and pricing is key. I want my clients to feel informed and confident, knowing exactly what to expect and choosing a package that suits them without any last-minute surprises. Some photographers charge a session fee for the photoshoot itself, with final images priced separately. So, it's essential to ask about the cost of additional images upfront to avoid any misunderstandings.

SPECIALIZE

BEST TIME

Studio Family Photoshoots are perfect any time of the year. If you need a weekend as your children are in school, make sure your book in advance as weekends are limited and get booked very quickly.

If you are planning an Outdoor Family Photo shoot, the best months are April, May (for Sunset Shoots) and September and October (for Sunset Shoots).

STUDIO OR OUTDOOR

WE CANNOT DECIDE BETWEEN A STUDIO OR AN OUTDOOR SESSION.WHICH WOULD YOU SUGGEST?

The answer I guess depends on the age of your children.

For children younger than 12 months the studio is normally the best choice. Said so, if you know your child loves to be outdoors and this is the set up you want, it will still work absolutely fine.

With children older than 12 months, an outdoor family photography session might be the best option. Outdoor kids can explore, run around which normally results in happier children and therefore beautiful family photographs.

PREFERATION

Whether you prefer the natural beauty of the outdoors or the controlled environment of our studio, we accommodate your comfort for our photo shoots. Embrace your creativity in posing and simply enjoy the experience.

IDEAL TIME

If you are planning an outdoor family session, the ideal time for it would be at sunset. The sunset light is the best light for family photographs. Why? The light at sunset is soft, it doesn’t affect sensitive eyes and furthermore at sunset it is not too hot. If your kids are old enough to be happy to stay up until a bit later for one night, I would strongly suggest a sunset session. Because of the kids' bedtime schedule, I know a sunset shoot might not always work. In that case we still have the option of booking a morning session. It will be my job to find some nice and shady spots where the light is still beautiful and soft and it is not too hot for the children.

WHERE OUTDOOR

We can meet at the park near our studio or any other location of your preference. Once you get in touch with our studio, we can finalize the details regarding the location and time that works best for you.

ALLOWED

Not extended family sessions with Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, cousins etc. If you wish to take pictures with an extended familes and friends, there will be $50 per extra person.  A family session offers a wonderful opportunity for stunning family portraits, as well as individual portraits of the children. GET PREPARE

HOW TO GET PREPARED FOR YOUR FAMILY SESSION

Prepare for your family session with ease and style! Opt for our stunning outdoor settings or our sleek studio environment—your choice! Coordinate your outfits effortlessly with our expert advice, ensuring you look picture-perfect in every frame. With our guidance, select three chic colors, one being a versatile neutral, for that polished, magazine-worthy look. Pack your favorite outfits for variety and fun, and get ready to strike those pose-perfect moments. Trust us to capture your family's beauty and connection like never before!

WHAT TO WEAR

For your outdoor family session, it's best to coordinate colors and tones rather than matching outfits completely. Avoid busy patterns or large logos on clothing, opting instead for plain fabrics with varied textures. In a studio setting, white, cream, and neutral shades work well, but if you prefer brighter colors, use accessories to add pops of color rather than overwhelming your attire. Bring a few outfit options, especially your favorites, and together we'll select a palette of three colors, including a neutral tone, for a cohesive and stylish look. Remember, simplicity is key to avoiding an overly complex appearance—let's collaborate to create the perfect ensemble for your session.

WHAT TO BRING

There is no need to bring too much. Make sure you have some snacks for your little ones in case they need them. Do need to bring too many outfits. Changing outfits can be frustrating for some kids and they might not want to do so. It is not a fashion shoot and the number one priority is for everyone to be happy so that I can capture the best family photographs for you and your family.
